    Choose your PDFs

Pick one or more PDFs from your device, or drag them in. They load straight into your browser's memory — they are never sent anywhere.

  3. 02

    Drag the pages into order

With See All Pages ticked, every page shows as a tile. Drag a tile to a new spot, and a coloured line shows where it will land. Or point at a tile, or tap it, and click the small arrows at the bottom to move that page one place earlier or later, or the buttons on its sides to add a blank page before or after it. On a phone or tablet, press and hold a page for a moment to drag it. With a keyboard, press Tab to reach the pages, Enter to pick one up, the arrow keys to move it, and Enter to put it down. The number on each page is its new place, and pages that have moved turn green. To send a page to the very start or end, click it to select it, then choose Move to First or Move to Last. Choose Reverse, Odd, Even or Even, Odd under Quick Order to rearrange the whole PDF at once, or Original to start again.

  4. 03

    Reorganize and download

Click Reorganize PDF, then Download to save the reorganized PDF straight to your device. Text stays selectable and searchable. Move another page and the button goes back to Reorganize PDF, ready for another run.

  5. 04

    Reorganize many PDFs at once

Choose several PDFs together, or tap ‘+ Add More’ to add others later. Each PDF keeps its own page order, so arrange them one after another. Click Reorganize PDF once and they are all done. Then click Download to save them all together as a ZIP. It’s super fast, simple, and private.

How it works

  • Choose one or more PDFs, then drag the pages into the order you want. Nothing is processed until you click Reorganize PDF.
  • Each page in the preview shows its new place as a number in the top left corner. The number is dark when the page has not moved and green when it has.
  • Point at a page, or tap it, to show its controls. The two small arrows at the bottom move that page one place earlier or later. In the vertical list the arrows point up and down.
  • The page-with-a-plus buttons on each side of a page add a blank page before or after it, the same size as that page. In the vertical list they sit above and below the page. A blank page can be dragged like any other page, and its ✕ removes it.
  • Click a page to select it, and a ring appears around it. Then choose Move to First or Move to Last under Selected Page to send it to the start or end of its PDF, or Blank Before or Blank After to add a blank page beside it. Click the page again to deselect it.
  • Quick Order rearranges every PDF at once: Reverse, Odd, Even (all odd pages, then all even pages), Even, Odd, or Original to start again. The button that matches your pages is lit, and none is lit once you have dragged pages into a custom order.
  • Pages are never turned into images. They are put in a new order inside the PDF itself, so the original text stays selectable and searchable.
  • Each result is checked against its original before you can download it. If anything differs, no file is produced for that PDF.
  • See All Pages is ticked by default, so every page of each PDF shows as a grid of small thumbnails, which is the easiest way to drag pages. Use the two icons beside it to switch to a vertical list of large pages, which opens at 150% zoom on a computer and fits the screen on a phone. Change the zoom with the + and − buttons.
  • Untick See All Pages to show each PDF as one small thumbnail instead. The arrows step through the pages in their new order, and a note under the thumbnail shows each page’s original number. Dragging needs See All Pages, but Quick Order still works.
  • Pages move inside their own PDF only. They never move from one PDF to another.
  • With two or more PDFs added, the Jump to PDF menu above the files shows which PDF you are on and scrolls straight to the one you pick.
  • Download one PDF on its own, or all of them together as a ZIP.
  • Nothing is uploaded. Once the page has loaded, it keeps working offline.

Frequently asked questions

  • Is my PDF uploaded anywhere? No. Pages are reordered entirely in your browser. Your file is never sent to a server, so it stays private.
  • How do I change the order of the pages? Drag a page tile to a new spot. A coloured line shows where it will land. With a mouse, just click and drag. Or point at a page, or tap it, and click the small arrows at the bottom to move it one place earlier or later, which is handy for small moves. To send a page to the very start or end, click it to select it, then choose Move to First or Move to Last. On a phone or tablet, press and hold a page for a moment, then drag it. With a keyboard, press Tab to reach the pages, Enter to pick one up, the arrow keys to move it, and Enter again to put it down.
  • Can I reorder pages on a phone or tablet? Yes. Scroll as usual, and press and hold a page to pick it up. The page then follows your finger until you let go. Dragging with a finger needs a recent browser. If yours does not support it, use the small arrows on each page, or the Quick Order buttons, instead.
  • What do the numbers on the pages mean? The number in the top left corner of each page is the place it will have in the new PDF. It is dark when the page has not moved and green when it has. With See All Pages unticked, the label under the page still shows its original page number, so you can see both.
  • Will the text stay selectable and searchable? Yes. Pages are never converted to images. They are simply put in a new order inside the PDF, so the original text, fonts, photos and vector graphics are left untouched.
  • Can I reorganize several PDFs at once? Yes. Add as many PDFs as you like. Each PDF keeps its own page order, so you can arrange them one after another, and download them together as a ZIP or one at a time. Quick Order applies to every PDF at once.
  • Can I reverse the whole PDF in one tap? Yes. Choose Reverse under Quick Order and the last page becomes the first, which is handy for a stack that was scanned back to front. Choose Original to put every page back in its first place. You can keep dragging afterwards.
  • What do Odd, Even and Even, Odd do? Odd, Even puts all the odd pages first, then all the even pages, so 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 becomes 1, 3, 5, 2, 4, 6. Even, Odd does the opposite, giving 2, 4, 6, 1, 3, 5. They are handy when you need the front sides and the back sides of your sheets in two separate groups. Like the other Quick Order buttons, they apply to every PDF at once, and you can keep dragging afterwards.
  • How do I send a page to the very start or end? Click the page to select it, and a ring appears around it. Then choose Move to First or Move to Last under Selected Page. Click the page again to deselect it. With a keyboard, press Enter on a page to pick it up, then Tab to the buttons. Moves stay inside the same PDF.
  • Can I move pages from one PDF into another, or merge PDFs? No. This tool changes the order of pages inside each PDF. Pages stay in the PDF they came from, and every PDF is saved as its own file.
  • Can I add a blank page? Yes. Point at a page, or tap it, and click the page-with-a-plus button on its left or right side to add a blank page before or after it. Or select the page, then choose Blank Before or Blank After under Selected Page. The blank page is the same size as the page beside it, and you can drag it like any other page. To remove it, click the ✕ on it, or press Delete on it with a keyboard. Quick Order removes blank pages too.
  • Can I delete or rotate pages? No. This tool changes the order of pages and can add blank pages. Every original page is kept, with its own size, rotation and content.
  • What happens to bookmarks and links? Bookmarks and links inside the PDF point at the page itself, so they follow the page to its new place. Links to websites are not affected. If your PDF has custom page labels, such as i, ii, iii for front matter, those labels belong to positions rather than pages, so they may no longer match after pages move.
  • Why is the Reorganize PDF button greyed out? The button stays off until at least one PDF has pages in a new order or a blank page added. Drag a page, add a blank page, or choose Reverse under Quick Order. A PDF whose pages are still in their original order gets no file, because there would be nothing to change.
  • Which PDFs are not supported? Password-protected PDFs cannot be processed. Digitally signed PDFs can be reorganized, but rewriting the file invalidates the signature.

What happens to your PDF

  • Order and blank pages: the pages are saved in the order you chose, with any blank pages you added, and nothing on your pages is changed. This tool does not delete or rotate pages.
  • Real text: text and vector graphics are never turned into images, so the original text stays selectable and searchable.
  • Size and rotation: each page keeps its own size and rotation, so a landscape page among portrait pages stays landscape wherever you put it.
  • Bookmarks and links: they point at the page itself, so they follow it to its new place. Links to websites are not affected.
  • Forms and annotations: comments, highlights and form fields stay on the page they belong to.
  • Page labels: some PDFs number their pages in their own way, such as i, ii, iii for front matter. Those labels belong to positions, not pages, so they may no longer match after pages move.
  • Unchanged PDFs: a PDF whose pages are still in their original order gets no file, because there would be nothing to change. In a batch, the other PDFs are still saved.
  • Left alone: text, fonts, photos and vector graphics are never touched. Page sizes stay as they were.
  • Safety check: the result is opened again and compared with your original. It covers the page count, that the saved pages are the original pages in exactly the order you chose, that each blank page is empty and the right size, and each page’s text, size, rotation and links. If anything differs, no file is produced for that PDF.

How to get the most out of it

  • Use the arrows for small moves. If a page only needs to go one or two places along, click its arrow instead of dragging.
  • Use the grid for big moves. With See All Pages ticked and the thumbnail grid chosen, many pages fit on screen at once, so you can drag a page a long way in one go.
  • Drag to the edge for long PDFs. Hold a page near the top or bottom edge of the preview and it scrolls for you. Keyboard users can hold an arrow key to keep moving a picked-up page.
  • Long PDF, one page in the wrong place? Click the page, then choose Move to First or Move to Last, instead of dragging it all the way.
  • Scanned in the wrong order? Choose Reverse under Quick Order, then drag any pages that still sit in the wrong place.
  • Start again any time. Choose Original to put every page back in its first place before you download.
  • Check before you download. The numbers on the pages show the new order. Untick See All Pages and use the arrows to step through the PDF in its new order, or switch to the vertical list and scroll through a few pages.
  • Do many at once. Add all your PDFs together, arrange each one, and download them as one ZIP. Quick Order applies to every PDF at once.
  • Keep your original. The reorganized file has its pages in the new order for good, so keep the first file if you might need the old order.
  • Know the limits. Password-protected PDFs can’t be reorganized, and digitally signed PDFs lose their signature when rewritten.

How it compares with iLovePDF

  • Privacy: iLovePDF uploads your PDF to its servers and deletes it automatically after 2 hours. Here nothing is ever uploaded. Your PDF stays on your device.
  • Page order: iLovePDF’s Organize PDF tool lets you drag and drop pages into any order. This tool does the same, and adds a live preview of every page’s new place and a check that the saved file matches your chosen order.
  • More than order: iLovePDF’s Organize PDF tool can also add, delete and rotate pages, and can mix the pages of several files. This tool changes the order of pages and adds blank pages, within each PDF.
  • Batch: here you can arrange several PDFs and download them together as a ZIP, and each PDF stays a separate file.
  • Limits: this tool needs no account, has no daily limit and adds no watermark. Your device’s memory is the only limit.
  • Offline: iLovePDF offers a separate desktop app for offline use. This page keeps working offline once it has loaded, and can be installed as an app from your browser.
  • What iLovePDF has that this doesn’t: deleting and rotating pages in the same tool, adding pages from other files, a large set of other PDF tools, plus desktop and mobile apps. This page does one job only.

How it compares with other popular PDF page organizers

  • Smallpdf: works in the cloud and deletes files after one hour. Its Organize PDF tool lets you drag pages into a new order, and also delete, rotate and add pages. Its offline use is through its iOS and Android apps. Here nothing is uploaded and no app is needed.
  • Adobe Acrobat: its free online tool for rearranging pages uploads your PDF and asks you to sign in to a free Adobe account, and it has limits on page count and file size. Organizing pages is also part of the paid Acrobat desktop plans. Acrobat is a full PDF editor, which this page is not.
  • PDF24: its online tool uploads your files and deletes them within one hour, and it is free with ads. You can sort pages by drag and drop, or from back to front. Its free PDF24 Creator app works offline on Windows.
  • The main difference: these sites process your PDF on their servers, so it has to be uploaded first. Here it is processed inside your browser, which matters most for contracts, ID documents and other private files.
  • Trade-off: a cloud service does the work on its own servers, so it can handle extremely large PDFs more easily. Here, very large files depend on your device’s memory and may be slow on a phone.
  • Note: these details come from each service’s public information as of October 2026 and can change.
