    Choose your PDFs

Pick one or more PDFs from your device, or drag them in. They load straight into your browser's memory — they are never sent anywhere.

  3. 02

    Select the pages to remove

Click pages in the preview to select them, or drag across several with a mouse or trackpad. You can also use First, Last, Odd, Even or Blank, or type a range such as 2, 4-6, 9- in the Custom box. Pages that will be removed are faded and show a red cross, and each file shows its page count before and after. The button that matches your pick lights up, and clicking it again unselects. Click a page again to unselect it.

  4. 03

    Remove the pages and download

Click Remove Pages, or press the Delete key, and the trimmed file is made once. Then click Download to save it straight to your device. Text on the pages you keep stays selectable and searchable. Change your selection and the button goes back to Remove Pages, ready for another run.

  5. 04

    Trim many PDFs at once

Choose several PDFs together, or tap ‘+ Add More’ to add others later. Quick picks and typed ranges select pages in all of them, and one click on Remove Pages removes them everywhere. Then click Download to save them all together as a ZIP. It’s super fast, simple, and private.

How it works

  • Choose one or more PDFs, then select the pages to remove. Nothing is processed until you click Remove Pages, so the file is made only once, however many pages you pick.
  • Click a page to select it and click it again to unselect it. On a computer you can also drag a box across several pages. On a phone, tap pages. The buttons and the range box select pages in every PDF at once.
  • Pages that will be removed are faded and show a red cross and the words To Remove. Pages that stay look normal. Click a marked page again to unselect it. Undo steps back through your picks, one at a time, and Clear unpicks every page.
  • With See All Pages unticked, each PDF shows one thumbnail with page arrows, and a note tells you when a page stays. Click the thumbnail to select the page you are looking at.
  • Blank looks at every page of every PDF and selects the empty ones. With Ignore Page Numbers ticked, a page with only a page number, header or footer near its top or bottom edge counts as empty too. While Blank is lit, changing the tick updates the picks at once.
  • The pages you keep are the original pages and are never turned into images, so the text stays selectable and searchable.
  • Removed pages are deleted from the file together with the content only they used, so they are not just hidden. Bookmarks that led to them, and form fields that sat only on them, are removed too.
  • Each file shows its page count now and after the removal, such as 24 pages → 19 pages, and it follows your picks as you change them.
  • Each result is checked against its original before you can download it. If anything differs, no file is produced for that PDF.
  • See All Pages is ticked by default, so every page of each PDF shows as a grid of small thumbnails. Use the two icons beside it to switch to a vertical list of large pages, which opens at 150% zoom on a computer and fits the screen on a phone. Change the zoom with the + and − buttons.
  • Untick See All Pages to show each PDF as one small thumbnail instead.
  • With two or more PDFs added, the Jump to PDF menu above the files shows which PDF you are on and scrolls straight to the one you pick.
  • Download one PDF on its own, or all of them together as a ZIP.
  • Nothing is uploaded. Once the page has loaded, it keeps working offline.

Frequently asked questions

  • Is my PDF uploaded anywhere? No. Pages are removed entirely in your browser. Your file is never sent to a server, so it stays private.
  • Will the text stay selectable and searchable? Yes. The pages you keep are the original pages, never converted to images, so their text, fonts, photos and vector graphics are left untouched and the text stays selectable and searchable.
  • How do I choose the pages to remove? Click a page in the preview to select it, and click it again to unselect it. With a mouse or trackpad you can also drag a box across several pages. You can also use First, Last, Odd, Even or Blank, or type page numbers and ranges such as 2, 4-6, 9- in the Custom box, which accepts only numbers, commas, spaces and hyphens. A range with no end, such as 9-, means page 9 to the last page, and a range with no start, such as -3, means the first three pages. Selected pages are faded and show a red cross. Then click Remove Pages, or press the Delete key, and click Download to save the trimmed PDF.
  • Can I select pages on a phone or without a mouse? Yes. On a phone or tablet, tap pages to select them. Dragging across several pages needs a mouse or trackpad, because on a touch screen a drag scrolls the list. Without a mouse you can also use the First, Last, Odd, Even and Blank buttons or type a range.
  • Can it find blank pages for me? Yes. Click Blank and every page with nothing on it is selected in every PDF, ready to remove. Tick Ignore Page Numbers, next to Blank, to also count pages that are empty apart from a page number, header or footer near the top or bottom edge, or untick it to pick only pages with nothing on them at all. On scanned pages, faint marks such as bleed-through from the other side are ignored, and a very small scanned mark such as a page number may count as blank either way, so check the marked pages before you remove them.
  • Are the removed pages really gone from the file? Yes. The removed pages are deleted from the saved file together with the images, fonts and other content only they used, so they are not just hidden, and the file usually gets smaller. Bookmarks that led to a removed page are removed too, and so are form fields, with what was typed in them, that sat only on removed pages. A bookmark that still holds bookmarks to kept pages stays as a heading. The document properties, such as the title and author, are left as they were.
  • Can I remove pages from several PDFs at once? Yes. Add as many PDFs as you like, and download them together as a ZIP or one at a time. Clicking or dragging selects pages in the PDF you use it on. First, Last, Odd, Even, Blank and typed ranges select pages in every PDF, counted from each PDF's own first page, and pages a PDF does not have are ignored. Blank picks each PDF's own blank pages. One click on Remove Pages then removes the selected pages from all of them.
  • What happens if I select no pages, or every page? No file is produced for that PDF, and its card tells you why. A PDF needs at least one page, so you cannot remove them all, and a PDF with no selected pages has nothing to remove. Other PDFs in the same batch are still processed.
  • Can I see which pages will be removed before I click? Yes. Every page that will be removed is faded and marked with a red cross and the words To Remove, and pages that stay look normal. Each file also shows its page count now and after the removal, such as 24 pages → 19 pages. Keep See All Pages ticked to check the whole document, or untick it for one thumbnail with page arrows.
  • Can I change my mind? Yes. Click a marked page again to unselect it, or use Undo to step back or Clear to start over, then click Remove Pages again to make a new file. Your original file is never changed. The trimmed PDF is saved as a new file with pages-removed in its name, so you can always go back to the original.
  • Will links and bookmarks still work? Links and bookmarks that lead to pages you kept keep working. Bookmarks that led to a removed page are removed, and a bookmark heading that still holds others stays. A link on a kept page that pointed to a removed page stays where it is but no longer takes you anywhere.
  • Will the page numbers printed on the pages change? No. Numbers printed on a page are part of the page, so after removing page 3 your pages may read 1, 2, 4. Page choices in this tool always mean the position of the page in the PDF, not the number printed on it.
  • Will page sizes and rotation stay the same? Yes. Every page you keep has the same size and rotation as before, and this is checked before you can download the file.
  • Which PDFs are not supported? Password-protected PDFs cannot be processed. Digitally signed PDFs can have pages removed, but rewriting the file invalidates the signature.

What happens to your PDF

  • Pages you keep: they stay exactly as they were. Text, fonts, photos and vector graphics are never touched, and nothing is turned into an image.
  • Pages you remove: they are deleted from the saved file, along with images, fonts and other content that only they used. Because that content leaves the file, it usually gets smaller.
  • Counting: page numbers you type count from each PDF's own first page and mean the position of the page, not the number printed on it. Pages a PDF does not have are ignored.
  • Nothing to remove, or everything: if you selected no page in a PDF, or every page, no file is produced for that PDF and its card says why. A PDF needs at least one page.
  • Links: links on the pages you keep that lead to other kept pages keep working. Links that led to a removed page stay in place but no longer go anywhere.
  • Bookmarks: bookmarks to kept pages keep working. Bookmarks to removed pages are taken out of the list. A bookmark to a removed page that still holds bookmarks to kept pages stays as a heading, without its link.
  • Form fields: form fields that sat only on removed pages are deleted, with what was typed in them. A field that also appears on a kept page stays there. Forms made with Adobe LiveCycle (XFA) also keep a separate copy of their form data, which is left as it was.
  • Page labels: if your PDF uses its own page labels, such as i, ii, iii, they are not renumbered after pages are removed.
  • Printed page numbers: numbers printed on the pages are part of the pages and do not change.
  • Page size and rotation: every page you keep has the same size and rotation as before.
  • Left alone: everything else, such as the document properties, stays as it was.
  • Safety check: the result is opened again and compared with your original, covering text, page count, page size, rotation and links, and it also confirms that no removed page, or form field that sat only on removed pages, is left in the file. If anything differs, no file is produced for that PDF.

How to get the most out of it

  • Check before you remove. The red cross and the words To Remove show exactly which pages will go. Switch See All Pages to the vertical list and scroll through if you want a closer look.
  • Select many pages fast. Drag a box across a row of pages with your mouse or trackpad, or type a range such as 2, 4-6, 9-.
  • Use the keyboard. After selecting pages, press the Delete key to click Remove Pages for you. On a Mac, the Delete key (Backspace) works too. The key is ignored while you are typing in the range box.
  • Big PDF? Select all the pages you want gone first, then click Remove Pages once, so the file is made only one time.
  • Changed your mind? Click a marked page again to unselect it, press Undo to step back, or press Clear to start over, then click Remove Pages again.
  • Remove a cover or an ending. Choose First or Last for a single page, or type a range such as 1-2 or 9- for several.
  • Scanned double-sided pages? Choose Blank to select every empty back at once, even when they are not strictly every second page. If every second page is a blank back, Even or Odd works too.
  • Blank pages with page numbers? Keep Ignore Page Numbers ticked so pages that only carry a page number, header or footer count as blank. Untick it if those pages should stay.
  • Remove several sections together. Type them in one go, such as 2, 4-6, 9-, and the preview marks them all.
  • Use the position, not the printed number. Page 3 means the third page of the PDF, even if the number printed on it says something else.
  • Trim many at once. If every PDF in a batch has the same unwanted pages, such as a cover sheet, add them all together, choose First, click Remove Pages, then download one ZIP.
  • Keep your original. Your original file is never changed, and the trimmed copy is saved with “pages removed” added to its name, unless you change it in File Name. Keep the original until you are sure you have what you need.
  • Handling sensitive pages? The removed pages, the form fields that sat only on them and the bookmarks that led to them are deleted from the file. Bookmark headings that still hold other bookmarks, and the document properties, stay. Check those before you share the file.
  • Know the limits. Password-protected PDFs can't be processed, and digitally signed PDFs lose their signature when rewritten.

How it compares with iLovePDF

  • Privacy: iLovePDF uploads your PDF to its servers and deletes it automatically after 2 hours. Here nothing is ever uploaded. Your PDF stays on your device.
  • Page choice: iLovePDF's page remover works on pages you select, including ranges of pages. This tool offers the same kind of control: click pages, drag across several, or type ranges, with quick picks for first, last, odd, even and blank pages, Delete and Undo, and a live preview that marks every page to be removed on the PDF itself.
  • Batch: the quick picks and typed ranges, such as Even or 2, 4-6, apply to every PDF in the batch, and each PDF is counted from its own first page.
  • Limits: this tool needs no account, has no daily limit and adds no watermark. Your device's memory is the only limit.
  • Offline: iLovePDF offers a separate desktop app for offline use. This page keeps working offline once it has loaded, and can be installed as an app from your browser.
  • What iLovePDF has that this doesn't: a large set of other PDF tools, such as merge, split and convert, plus desktop and mobile apps. This page does one job only.

How it compares with other popular PDF page removal tools

  • Smallpdf: works in the cloud and deletes files after one hour. You pick pages to delete from thumbnails, and free use has daily limits. Here you can also drag across several pages and remove ranges, odd or even pages in one step, with no limit.
  • Adobe Acrobat: its online page remover has you upload your PDF and sign in with a free account, and it creates a new PDF each time. Adobe Acrobat is a full PDF editor, which this page is not.
  • PDF24: its online tool uploads your files and deletes them within one hour, and it is free with ads. You click the pages you want to remove. Here you can also drag across several pages or type ranges. Its free PDF24 Creator app works offline on Windows.
  • The main difference: these sites process your PDF on their servers, so it has to be uploaded first. Here it is processed inside your browser, which matters most for contracts, ID documents and other private files.
  • Trade-off: a cloud service does the work on its own servers, so it can handle extremely large PDFs more easily. Here, very large files depend on your device's memory and may be slow on a phone.
  • Note: these details come from each service's public information as of October 2026 and can change.
